Flodesk Pricing Change: 2025 Increase Review

Flodesk just changed its pricing. Here’s what that means for small business owners, and what to do if you missed the unlimited plan.

If you’ve been on the fence about joining Flodesk, your indecision may have just cost you the best email marketing deal in the game.

On November 28, 2025, Flodesk officially retired its unlimited plan for new members, marking the end of one of the most generous email marketing offers ever created. From here on out, new pricing will scale based on your audience size. And while that might sound like a standard software move, for small businesses that rely on affordable tools to grow, this is a major shift.

But let’s back up.

What Changed with Flodesk’s Pricing?

In a heartfelt email to their users, Flodesk co-founders Rebecca, Trong, and Martha shared what’s behind the change: sustainability.

They built Flodesk with no outside investors and a mission to make beautiful, powerful email marketing actually accessible to small businesses. For years, they offered something nearly unheard of:

Unlimited emails and unlimited subscribers for a flat monthly fee.

But in order to continue building features and supporting over 100,000 small businesses long term, that model had to evolve.

Here’s the short version:

  • New users will now pay based on their list size starting in November 2025.
  • The unlimited plan is no longer available for new accounts after Nov 28.
  • If you were already on the unlimited plan? You’re locked in for life, as long as you don’t cancel.

Is Flodesk Still Worth It?

It depends on your business, list size, and goals. Here’s how I’m breaking it down for my clients:

✅ If you’re a current Flodesk user on the unlimited plan:

Don’t touch a thing. You’re grandfathered in. You’ve got a legacy deal that’s likely never coming back.

✅ If you’re a brand-new user deciding today:

It’s still one of the more design-forward, user-friendly, non-tech-bro tools on the market. Even with pricing based on list size, it might still be cheaper than ConvertKit or Mailchimp, depending on how you grow. But you’ll want to be more strategic. Focus on list quality, not just list size, to get the most ROI.

See my detailed review of Flodesk vs. Mailchimp here.

✅ If you need automations, branding, and simplicity:

Flodesk is still one of the easiest to set up, most beautiful tools I’ve seen. No drag-and-drop chaos, no ugly fonts, no clunky logic trees. So even with the pricing change, I wouldn’t count it out.

What to Do if You Missed the Unlimited Plan

If you’re kicking yourself for missing the Flodesk pricing change (don’t worry, you’re not alone), here are your best next steps:

1. Join Flodesk anyway (50% OFF!)

Even at the new pricing tier, it might still be your best fit. Most platforms increase costs as you grow, Flodesk just happened to delay that model longer than most.

2. Switch tools if you’re scaling fast

If you’re growing your list by the thousands monthly, it may be worth exploring ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, or MailerLite Pro for more advanced segmentation or cost flexibility.

3. Start list-building now

Whether you’re on Flodesk or not, don’t wait to build your list. Email is still one of the highest converting marketing tools available. You don’t own your social followers, but you do own your list.

Final Thoughts: Flodesk Pricing Change

Flodesk’s pricing change is just a reminder of something I tell clients every week: your strategy is more powerful than any tool.

An unlimited plan sounds great, but it’s meaningless if you’re not consistently emailing, segmenting, and converting your audience. Whether you’re on Flodesk or not, don’t let this shift slow your growth. Use it as a wake-up call to get intentional about your marketing.
