How did you get started in the industry?
I first fell in love with the little details that went into planning events when I worked as a dining attendant at a conference center in high school.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Does a quote from a movie count? “Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions.”.
What do you see as the most challenging aspect of being an Event Planner?
Definitely trying to gain clients. I’ve found word of mouth has really been the best source of clients for my business.
What do you see as the most rewarding aspect of being an Event Planner?
On the personal side, my daughter getting to see her mom be creative, successful and making dreams come true (Like a fairy godmother!).
What advice would you give to someone entering the industry today?
Patience is essential. Work hard and never give up, it’s worth it in the end I promise.
